This is a link to our local library and access point to research database.
Libraries and literacy, a moot point. Libraries assume eveyone can read! How many more people could benefit from a library if those with literacy issues could have access. What sort of access requirements open the door to all in teh community? Most libraries I guess define ownership by rates, or property address. This means forms, lots of reading in very small print and writing in very small spaces. Litercay is not just about books.

QR Codes

QR Codes can convey a large amount of information within a small frame. In saying that, there are limitations. The ability of the cell phone camera to pick up fine detail is the biggest factor. 2G phones can handle small codes, but not more than a basic address as below.

One short question per code should be easy enough to handle.

E-Learning links

http://www.tonybates.ca/2010/02/11/how-well-has-your-institution-integrated-technology/

Looking at what the problems are with technology, e-learning and what the porblems and gaps can mean in the future. Is the integration of technology in education a matter of money, of attitude, of resourcing? Or just failure to appreciate that its integration in the workplace is standard at all levels of work place endeavour to a degree that is seamless.
If so, then education is fast falling behind the needs of the workplace, people without computer skills are being turned down for work now.
